Very beautiful place. We'll definately be coming back. Nice staff, awesome views, lots of nearby hikes, overall just great.
This is our second visit to the state park but the first to the lodge and it was awesome. Our room was exceptional, a corner suite with two outdoor balconies. We saw the sunrise sitting wrapped up in a blanket on the balcony. The bed was very nice almost new. We came here to escape the heat and we were able to enjoy the weather with the windows and doors open. Glorious.
We ate in the lodge restaurant 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners. This was the mediocre part of the visit. While the menu was extensive, the food wasn't creative and was disappointing. The servers, while friendly, needed training in menu and customer service that one would expect in this beautiful lodge. The dining room was beautiful and it was such a shame that the food wasn't as exceptional as the view. We will definitely be back to the lodge at Mount Magazine and try the restaurant again to see if the chef has gotten any inspiration.
This place is beautiful! We stayed in one of the cabins and it was amazing! It was romantic, quiet and peaceful. My only complaint is the restaurant. It was overpriced for the quality of food you get. Stingy portions and not the greatest food. Other than that, a great place to visit. We will be going back.
By far the most affordable RESORT I have ever been to.. and the view at sunset and sunrise are just heaven... budget friendly and etradordinary!!
New spacious rooms, beautiful views from every room, indoor pool and hot tub. We really enjoyed the lodge and will stay again. I couldn't find a check in time on their website, but check-in is at 4pm and checkout is at 11am.
